Job Description / Responsibilities
Curriculum Integration & Intercultural Learning
- Articulate, implement and assess a comprehensive framework for global citizenship
- Collaborate with faculty to embed applied learning standards in documented curriculum
- Provide oversight of elementary Junior Ranger program development
- Develop and implement scope & sequence across six applied learning focus areas

Faculty Development & Training
- Lead workshops for faculty to support applied learning integration
- Provide curricular leadership to embed applied learning standards
- Identify relevant professional development opportunities for faculty and staff
Learning Space Development & Resource Management
- Develop, manage, and promote use of the Eco-Hotspot and Community Garden
- Develop, manage, and promote use of the Forest Area and Outdoor Library
- Maintain inventory of applied learning equipment & resources
- Source supplies, resources, books, and equipment to support applied learning goals
Safeguarding & Risk Management
- Liaise with the school’s technical advisor for risk assessment training
- Organize First Aid & CPR training for all faculty, including advanced options
- Identify, manage, and practice with a designed safety evacuation team
- Conduct regular safety walks of outdoor learning spaces
- Maintain accurate records of risk mitigation activities and assessments
- Review and implement key policies for applied learning risk management
- Conduct site visits for service partners, third-party providers, and trip locations
- Serve as active Duty Manager for on-campus and off-campus activities
- Serve as a leader on safeguarding action teams
Trip Development & Event Planning
- Liaise with community partners, agencies, third-party providers and consultants
- Organize on-campus applied learning events, such as Outdoor Classroom Day
- Organize off-campus applied learning events, such as field trips and overnights
- Develop and plan sustainable off-campus trip programming for grades 4 to 12
